The images were taken at the opening night of Arlington, written and directed by Enda Walsh and choreographed by Emma Martin, at the Abbey Theatre. Arlington is the first of two Landmark Productions and Galway International Arts Festival productions, both written and directed by Enda Walsh, which will play back-to-back on the Abbey stage. Arlington runs until 25 February followed by Ballyturk, which will run from 3-11 March.
Playwright Enda Walsh was joined by Stephen Rea, Michael McElhatton, Aidan Gillen, Camille O’Sullivan, Jean Butler, Moya Doherty, John McColgan, Claudia Carrol, Marion O’Dwyer, Clelia Murphy and a huge array of other well-known personalities from theatre, television and entertainment world.
In attendance from Galway International Arts Festival were CEO John Crumlish and Artistic Director Paul Fahy, who were joined by their Landmark Productions co-producers Anne Clarke, Sara Cregan and Jonathan White.
Arlington is running at the Abbey Theatre until 25 February, while Ballyturk, also written and directed by Enda Walsh, will run at the Abbey from 3-11 March 2017. Both productions are featuring as part of the new Directors of the Abbey Theatre, Graham McLaren and Neil Murray’s inaugural season.
Following its run at the Abbey Theatre, Arlington is set to tour to St. Ann’s Warehouse in New York in May 2017.
