Glamorous and stylish ladies were out in force to sample the gourmet delights at L’Ecrivan recently for the third annual Teenline Ireland ladies lunch hosted by Sally Anne Clarke. The afternoon began with a drinks reception followed by a meal prepared by Michelin Star Chef Derry Clarke. Guests were entertained by Mary Byrne, who ‘wowed the room’ with her performance. Ambassador Jamie Harrington, also spoke to guests on the day about his experience with depression and mental health.
Guests who attended on the day included, Lorraine Keane, Mary Harney, Aisling Holly and Norah Casey. Teenline Ireland was founded by Maureen Bolger who after tragically losing her son Darren to depression in 2003 noticed the lack of services for teens contemplating suicide. The lunch which was organised by Sally Anne Clarke aims to raise vital funds for the suicide prevention charity.
Speaking about the event, which raised over 12k on the day, Sally Anne admitted she wished her own son Andrew, who she lost in 2012, had known there was a service like Teenline Ireland available, saying, “If we can stop one family going through what we’ve gone through it’s worth all the effort”.
The organisation will hold the Teenline Autumn Ball in the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Killiney on the 23rd September, with tickets available at www.teenline.ie
