On February 11th, 2017, the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin was the location for the highly-anticipated Nesta Valentine’s Ball in aid of ISPCC Childline.
The black tie event in the prestigious hotel was a night of great food, fundraising and music for guests to dance the night away. Beginning at 7pm, guests were treated to a sparkling drinks reception, sumptuous three-course meal specially selected for the event followed by a band and DJ who entertained until late. On top of the above, there were some great raffle prizes and a charity auction with some exclusive packages.
The ball was held in aid of ISPCC Childline. Childline is the only 24-hour listening service which seeks to support and empower children and young people in Ireland. Last year, Childline had conversations with almost 440,000 children and young people who contacted the service for help and advice with wide-ranging serious issues, including abuse, violence, exploitation, addiction and suicide. That is an astounding 1,205 contacts by children a day, on issues that no child should encounter.
Attendees included Today Fm’s latest signing, comedian Al Porter and host of the Last Word, Matt Cooper.
